Inaugural

I would go into a long, drawn out explanation of my title for all interested parties (since blogs seem to be about self-indulgence), with quotes from Oscar Wilde and Evelyn Waugh, Groucho Marx and Stanley Cavell, but there is a bowl of cheddar potato soup and a sealed bag of chicken on my kitchen counter (it's amazing what you can make just by adding water) which is about to become my dinner. You know, now that I think about it, that ridiculous meal waiting to be thrown together with the minimum amount of time and energy is explanation enough. As for the lemur, well, suffice it to say that the lemur is the new albatross. (see for further information: "Lemurs", hosted by John Cleese).
